Regal Princess will enter a “special,” unscheduled dry dock in late April to address what Princess Cruises is referring to as essential maintenance.

The technical issue that must be fixed does not affect the ship’s safety, systems, comfort, dining, entertainment, or other guest-facing features, a spokesperson for the line said.

“The ship is fully certified for service by all applicable authorities and remains fully operational for all scheduled voyages through early April, including the April 4 trans-Atlantic voyage to Southampton that will proceed as planned.”

Following this repositioning, the April 18, 2025 sailing has been shortened from 10 days to six days and will call on the following four ports: Falmouth, Cobh, Dun Laoghaire, and Belfast. Guests will receive a pro-rated refund, future cruise credit, onboard credit, and compensation for airline change fees.

The April 28 sailing has been fully canceled. Guests will receive a full refund, future cruise credit, and reimbursement for airline change fees.

Regal Princess will enter dry dock in Rotterdam in late April and return to service on May 9, 2025, resuming its European season with British Isles itineraries from Southampton.

“We understand how disappointing these changes are and we remain committed to making it right for our guests. We look forward to welcoming them back aboard for an unforgettable Princess vacation,” the line said in a statement.
