Ritz Carlton Mexico City

The Ritz-Carlton, Mexico City, Mexico
Mexico City’s rich history, culture, and art are at the forefront of this new hotel, Ritz-Carlton’s first in the capital. Private tours, for example, of the Anthropology Museum and other cultural sites throughout the city will be available to guests. Located within a 58-story mixed-use, modern glass tower along the iconic Paseo de Reforma.

Each of the 153 guestrooms and suites has views overlooking the city thanks to a floor-to-ceiling window, and 120 rooms have private terraces. There are also spacious marble bathrooms and separate dining and living rooms in the suites. The in-house restaurant Samos showcases Eastern Mediterranean cuisine with Mexican influences and local ingredients. At the spa, treatments incorporate local ingredients and botanicals that are inspired by the healing and spiritual traditions of the Aztec culture. There are also steam rooms, saunas, and an indoor pool. Guests can enjoy a large fitness center and the signature The Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge with an exclusive Club Concierge.

New Hotels EDITION Iceland

The Reykjavik EDITION, Iceland
Hotelier Ian Schrager, together with Marriott International, is back with the latest EDITION outpost, bringing the brand’s sophisticated, minimalist-chic approach to luxury to Reykjavik. Opening in preview on Nov. 9, 2021, the hotel will be one of the few true five-star properties in the city. Boasting a central location, the hotel is next to Harpa, the landmark concert hall and conference center, and minutes from the downtown shopping area. The interior design draws inspiration from its awe-inspiring surroundings, such as an Icelandic lava stone sculptural totem in the lobby.

The culinary highlight is Tides, the signature restaurant with a private dining room and an outdoor terrace. It’s helmed by Gunnar Karl Gíslason, the chef behind Dill, Reykjavik's celebrated New Nordic Michelin-starred restaurant. In the mornings, breakfast is a fresh, healthy mix of clean juices, pastries, fruit, cereal, and skyr (Icelandic yogurt) supplemented by an à la carte menu of hot dishes and a selection of open-faced sandwiches.

For lunch and dinner, Gíslason serves modern Icelandic cuisine. The hotel's 253 guestrooms and suites each have beds facing floor-to-ceiling windows that frame various views of the surrounding neighborhood, and some come complete with an outdoor terrace. They feature Icelandic touches, such as bed throws by local wool company, and in-room art by famous Icelandic artists Pall Stefansson and Ragnar Axelsson showcasing Icelandic landscapes.

Rooms will feature a king bed or two queen beds and luxurious bathrooms with dual vanities and soaking tubs.

Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors will open to views of the Caribbean Sea and large terraces with outdoor living space and private plunge pools. Other amenities include five restaurants, two swimming pools, an events lawn, a kids' club, and experiences that explore the Yucatán Peninsula. A standout, Mayan-inspired signature restaurant Itzam offers panoramic ocean views from its open-air seating, lounge terrace, and private dining room, Pixán.

Pan Pacific London, UK
Recently opened, the Pan Pacific London offers a five-star getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Channeling its Singapore roots, design elements such as bamboo stems, ornate teapots, and tropical planting can be found throughout the hotel.

Guestrooms and suites boast views out over the city of London. The hotel offers several options to enjoy some Singaporean favorites or modern dishes inspired by Asia, including the Straits Kitchen offers Singaporean all-day dining in the heart of the Square Mile with dishes that draw on Asian delicacies and far-flung favorites.

In The Orchid Lounge, traditional afternoon tea showcase quintessentially British sandwiches and scones, whilst the Singaporean-inspired Kopi Tiam celebrate bao and dim sum. The hotel’s extensive wellbeing facilities include an infinity pool, a gym, treatment rooms, individual relaxation pods, a sauna room, a mindfulness studio, and a dedicated living room for rest and relaxation.
