MSC Cruises to Homeport Year-Round in NYC

Starting April 2023, MSC Meraviglia will sail year-round from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in New York City. The city will be the third year-round homeport for MSC Cruises in the U.S., after Miami and Port Canaveral.
Itineraries will range from six to 11 nights and visit the Caribbean, Bermuda and New England/Canada.
“New York City was the natural choice when we picked our next U.S. port because it’s so accessible, whether the guest is coming from somewhere nearby or from around the world,” said Ruben Rodriguez, president of MSC Cruises USA. “We designed our mix of itineraries to take advantage of New York’s geographic flexibility, so that you can soak up the springtime sun in the Caribbean, head to Bermuda over the summer, or go north to see Canada’s natural beauty in the fall.”
Three Itinerary Choices
- Caribbean: Sailings of seven or eight nights, featuring calls in Nassau and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve
- Bermuda: Six-nights with three of those days docked at King’s Wharf
- Canada/New England: Cruises of 10 or 11 nights, featuring calls to Boston, Portland (ME), Charlottetown (PEI), Halifax and Sydney (NS), and Saint John (NB). Eleven night itineraries include an additional call in Newport (RI).
MSC Meraviglia
Capable of holding up to 5,700 passengers across 19 decks, MSC Meraviglia features 12 restaurants and 20 bars, 10 staterooms categories (including the Yacht Club), indoor and outdoor pools, and a water park. The MSC Kids’ Club includes dedicated areas for babies, toddlers, children and teens, and boasts the Lego Experience.
“MSC Meraviglia was a huge hit when she first came to New York in 2019,” Rodriguez said. “Our guests really appreciated the ship’s modern and glamorous features, as well as her state-of the-art environmental technologies, and we are sure we’ll see strong demand when she returns.”
Bookings open March 9, 2022.
