Virgin Hotels wrapped up a busy month, opening Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, Curio Collection by Hilton, and announced plans for a new hotel in Glasgow, Scotland.

The lifestyle hotel brand by Virgin Group Founder Sir Richard Branson will open its second Scottish hotel in 2022.

The property will be located on Clyde Street, overlooking the River Clyde in the heart of Glasgow’s shopping area. There will be 242 rooms and suites, meeting and event space, and multiple dining and drinking outlets, including the brand’s signature Commons Club, a restaurant, bar, and modern social club, and Funny Library Coffee Shop, a communal workspace.

In Las Vegas, the brand recently opened just off the Strip, with over 1,500 rooms and suites, an exclusive spa, 12 food and beverage outlets,? daytime?and nighttime live entertainment venues, and a 60,000 square-foot state-of-the-art casino.?

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, Curio Collection by Hilton is home to three towers, Opal, Canyon, and Ruby. The Opal and Canyon towers have king or two-queen bed “chambers” – the brand’s lingo for guestrooms – and the all-suite Ruby Tower has a dedicated check-in area and valet.

Among its culinary offerings, Olives from James Beard award-winning chef Todd English with a Mediterranean menu will debut May 2021. There’s also Night + Market, featuring signature Thai cuisine from Los Angeles-based award-winning chef Kris Yenbamroong; Nobu, the legendary restaurant from chef Nobu Matsuhisa; and One Steakhouse offering a top steakhouse dining experience, among others.

There are also signature Virgin Hotels restaurants and bars, including The Kitchen at Commons Club, a 24/7 contemporary brasserie, and The Shag Room, an immersive sunken lounge accessible through a speakeasy photobooth.

Featuring over 130,000 square feet of expansive, flexible, and modern indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces, the expansive resort also offers multiple entertainment venues including The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, a 4,500 person capacity venue, operated by AEG Presents; 24 Oxford, an intimate live underground music venue; and The Event Lawn, a 13,000 square foot outdoor entertainment space, perfect for concerts and private events. A 60,000 square foot Mohegan Sun Casino is located within the resort.

Debuting in May, the Mykonos-themed day club will have multi-level bar experiences and an open-air entertainment stage. Also arriving in May, guests will also be able to relax poolside at the Mediterranean-inspired pool featuring VIP cabanas and daybeds.

The property joins Virgin Hotels’ rapidly growing roster, which includes Virgin Hotels Chicago, Virgin Hotels Dallas, and Virgin Hotels Nashville. The brand has announced additional openings this year, Virgin Hotels New Orleans this summer and Virgin Hotels New York City this fall. Virgin Hotels Edinburgh and Miami are planned for 2022 and beyond.
