Alila Resorts of California Appoints New Director of Business Development

Alila Resorts of California has appointed Daniel Strawn as its new director of business development.
In the role, Strawn will oversee leisure business development strategy for three resorts – Alila Ventana Big Sur, Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas, and Alila Napa Valley – to help solidify them in the luxury leisure market.
Strawn has more than a decade of luxury hospitality experience, most recently as director of leisure sales at Montage Healdsburg. There, he led the property in exceeding its year-over-year revenue goals and launching a residence brand. His work has been deeply focused on targeted trade partnerships and innovative sales activations.
He also previously held progressive sales and operations positions at The Phoenician, a Luxury Collection Resort in Scottsdale, AZ, for eight years, and was recognized for his leadership with Manager of the Year during the resort’s $400 million renovation and transition from Starwood to Marriott.
