Turkey has dropped its e-visa requirement for passport holders in six countries, including the United States and Canada.

Those with valid passports from the U.S., Canada, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Oman can now travel to Turkey for up to 180 days every 90 days without purchasing an e-visa, according to the Turkish government.

President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, made the announcement on Dec. 22, and the information has been updated on the U.S. government’s Turkey travel information page.

The U.S. advises Americans to exercise increased caution when traveling to Turkey with a Level 2 Travel Advisory.
