Silversea Names Mark Conroy Head of Americas Office

February 03, 2016

Silversea Cruises has named former Regent Seven Seas president Mark Conroy as head of its Americas office in Miami.

Conroy spent more than 20 years as president of Regent Seven Seas, heading the company when it went through its brand transition from Radisson Seven Seas to Regent Seven Seas in 2008. He left Regent in 2013 to start his own consulting firm.

Conroy got his start in the cruise business in 1973 in Norwegian Cruise Line’s mailroom while he was a student at the University of Miami.

He comes to Silversea as it is in the midst of a major expansion. Its newest flagship, the Silver Muse, will make its inaugural sailing in April. Last month, it announced its entry into the wellness market with a new lineup of more than a dozen wellness-themed sailings set over the next two years.
