Silversea has enhanced its group program with the introduction of a “super advantage” tier that allows the eighth guest to sail free, and includes shipboard credit, and a higher commission rate.

“There has never been a better time for Silversea’s travel partners to invite their clients to experience our industry-leading offering, with the enhancement of our groups program providing unprecedented opportunities to increase revenues and grow commissions,” said Massimo Brancaleoni, senior vice president of global sales for Silversea.

With the new tier, a tour conductor credit – allowing a guest to travel free – is earned when seven guests pay the full fare on select sailings. Additionally, under the new tier, the group receives $300 onboard credit and the commission for the travel advisor is a minimum of 15%. (15% commission is protected after a minimum of four full-fare suites, otherwise standard commission applies.)

The $300 onboard credit and 15% commission also applies to the Advantage group tier, which allows a tenth guest to sail free with nine full-paying passengers. The $300 onboard credit, but not the 15% commission, applies to the Standard group tier, which allows a twelfth guest to sail for free with 11 full-paying passengers.

Additionally, Silversea’s price protection guarantee for all tiers has been extended to 120 days from group opening, and no deposits are required to open group shells. As a special promotion, advisors can enjoy extended price protection of 180 days when creating group bookings for new summer 2025 and winter 2025/2026 sailings by Jan. 31, 2024.

The group program is combinable with door-to-door, port-to-port, extended voyages savings, and onboard savings programs.

“This enhancement represents our unwavering commitment to our valued community of travel partners, who have long constituted our most important sales channel,” Brancaleoni added. “With the introduction of our ‘Super Advantage’ tier on group bookings, the increased shipboard credit offering, and our renewed price protection program, we are – once again – improving Silversea’s commercial appeal to our valued travel partner community.”
