Tour Operators Celebrate National Travel Advisor Day with Special Incentives

by Jessica Montevago / May 01, 2019

Tour operators are offering travel partners special bonus incentives in honor of National Travel Advisor Day, a holiday organized by ATSA to spotlight the value of travel advisors as advocates for the traveling public.

Avanti Destinations is offering a $25 gift card and reduced delivery and documentation fees for each online booking over $3,000 made between May 1 and May 31, 2019 and paid with at least a deposit by the end of the May.

To qualify for the gift card and reduced delivery and documentation fees, the booking must be made on Avanti’s travel agent portal. This offer applies to each online booking over the minimum qualifying value.

Pleasant Holidays and its luxury brand, Journese, will provide travel advisors 500 Bonus TRIP (Travel Rewards Incentive Program) Points per booking for all bookings confirmed on Wednesday, May 1.

In addition, the travel advisor with the single largest confirmed booking that day will receive a $150 Amazon gift card. The offers are valid on new confirmed bookings made May 1, 2019 for travel any time. Bookings may be made online or via the call center and must be under deposit or paid in full by 11:59 P.M. PDT on May 1, 2019 in order to qualify.

Travel advisors who earn 25,000 or more TRIP points in a year are automatically elevated to Premier Tier status for the following year, which includes added perks and greater flexibility

Apple Leisure Group (ALG) is kicking off a month-long Appreciation Celebration promotion with its brands Travel Impressions, Apple Vacations, Funjet Vacations or Blue Sky Tours. Every week, one lucky agent whose name will be drawn at random will receive 100% commission on one travel package booked in May. Travel agents can contact their dedicated BDM or visit the Appreciation Celebration website for more information.

Apple Vacations is rewarding advisors with up to 20,000 Royalties Points for "saving the day." It's also giving away 10 three-night trips for two and two roundtrip Exclusive Nonstop Vacation Flight seats.

One million LoyalTI First points are up for grabs through Travel Impressions' Million in May incentive. Half of it will go to three LoyalTI First-registered agents who make the most FIT/escorted or customized tour bookings to any Travel Impressions destination from May 1 - 29, 2019. The remaining 500,000 LoyalTI First points will be awarded per week, including random drawings as well as weekly incentives rewarding retailers. Winners will be announced on Travel Impressions' Facebook page each Friday, beginning May 10.

Funjet will offer more opportunities to maximize Agent Bonus Cash earned on Exclusive Nonstop Vacation Flight bookings. Travel advisors will receive $10 Agent Bonus Cash for every Exclusive Nonstop Vacation Flight booked with Funjet Vacations throughout the month. This can be combined with an incentive of up to $50 for booking select resort partners.

Blue Sky Tours will give away stays in Hawaii for those who attend any of their three informational webinars during Appreciation Celebration. The company will also offer $25 Agent Bonus Cash for stays of four nights or longer. In total, agents can earn up to $80 in Agent Bonus Cash on bookings to Hawaii or the South Pacific.

Agents can win one of five vacation experiences given away by United Vacations. Retailers can also earn up to $50 Agent Bonus Cash at select resorts as well as 16% hotel commission when booking Reflect Resorts and Spas, plus air vouchers when booking multiple stays at that line of properties.

Collette is offering agents an extra $50 commission for every booking this month, following their first. To take advantage, agents will qualify for this promotion after their first booking throughout the month of May.

Trafalgar is offering advisors double the Travel Cash reward, redeemable towards any Trafalgar vacation, for each booking made in May.

Trafalgar is also awarding one outstanding advisor with the Guests’ Choice Award. For the entire month of May, past guests will have the chance to nominate their advisor for going above and beyond and providing the best possible booking experience to make their travel dreams come true. The travel advisor with the most outstanding nomination will take home the inaugural Trafalgar Guests’ Choice Award trophy and earn a coveted spot on Trafalgar’s top travel advisor trip to South Africa this September.

Past guests can nominate their Travel Advisors in one of three ways: return the Guests’ Choice Award postcard to Trafalgar by mail; post on Facebook using the hashtag #TrafalgarGCAor submit a response on Trafalgar’s website at Trafalgar.com/gca. The Trafalgar Guests’ Choice Award winner will be announced by June 14, 2019. For more information on the awards and to submit a nomination visit www.trafalgar.com/gca.
