There are hotels and resorts galore opening around the world in 2024. Here are the 15 that we’re most excited about.

Andronis Minois
Family-owned luxury in Greece, Andronis Hotels is expanding to a new city with the acquisition of Minois Hotel Paros. The brand currently operates hotels and villas in Athens and Santorini. It will reopen its new Paros hotel as the Andronis Minois in May 2024 after making extensive renovations. The hotel will offer 44 luxury suites, each with its own terrace and patio. Some multi-bedroom suites even have their own private swimming pool. The property also includes a main pool, outdoor gym, spa, and lounge deck.

Fairmont Breakers Long Beach
Breakers, a historic landmark hotel in Long Beach, California, is reopening as the Fairmont Breakers Long Beach in 2024. The reimagined luxury hotel will feature 185 boutique hotel rooms and suites, an open-air rooftop lounge and bar, a rooftop pool and terrace, a live jazz club, a luxury spa, and a wellness and fitness center. The hotel opening will also mark the reopening of the famed Sky Room restaurant. There will be an additional four dining options at the hotel, as well as conference and meeting space. Guests can expect an elevated, high-end experience at the renovated property that’s been restored to its original grandeur while offering modern design and amenities.

FILA HOUSE Shanghai
JdV by Hyatt is partnering with FILA, the athletic apparel brand, to launch the world’s first FILA-branded hotel in 2024. FILA HOUSE Shanghai will be part of a five-building complex housing the new Shanghai headquarters of FILA’s parent company ANTA Group, as well as dining and shopping. Developers are envisioning the hotel and its counterparts to be a destination for sports retail, making it a prime space for sports fanatics and athletes to see the latest athletic apparel trends first-hand and in-person while staying at a high-end hotel.

Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr
Located in the heart of Morocco’s “City of Lights,” this new Four Seasons is already taking reservations and is expected to open in early 2024. The historic property referred to as the “palace by the sea” was once a Sultan’s summer home, then a military hospital, and will now be a luxury hotel. The Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr spans 12 acres and several buildings with 200 guest rooms and suites, most with balconies or terraces overlooking the ocean and gardens. The property is perfect for a wellness retreat: It features several indoor and outdoor pools and an entire spa complex with private treatment rooms, a full-service salon, 24-hour fitness center, and a terrace for outdoor yoga classes.

Iberostar Grand Aruba
Spanish brand Iberostar’s new adult-only resort, Iberostar Grand Aruba, is set to open in the summer of 2024. The U-shaped, 240-suite property frames Eagle Beach and will include a spa, several pools, three restaurants, five bars, and access to the Tierra del Sol golf course. For those who want to hold a wedding or a business meeting in beautiful Aruba, the hotel offers a large conference room that can be separated for different kinds of events. Iberostar Grand Aruba is located about 15 minutes from the Queen Beatrix International Airport, 10 minutes from downtown Oranjestad, and a few minutes from shopping and dining in Palm Beach.

Think: conference room surrounded by an oasis resort for Loews Hotels’ newest property, which will be a one-of-a-kind blend of business and leisure. The 888-room hotel in Arlington, Texas, will be home to the new Loews Arlington Convention Center featuring 200,000 square-feet of indoor meeting space and 66,000 square-feet of outdoor event space. The hotel will also include a business center and a fitness center. It is located right next to Arlington’s two major sports stadiums and expects to welcome thousands of sports fans, professionals, and leisure travelers alike when it opens in early 2024.

Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca
On the Spanish island of Mallorca, Mandarin Oriental is transforming the former H10 Punta Negra hotel and reopening it as the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca in the second half of 2024. The luxury resort will feature 131 guestrooms, including 44 suites and nine bungalows just steps from the water. The location offers plenty of natural beauty, from the cliff tops and gardens to the ocean and coves, and the hotel accommodates for guests to experience it with rooms that feature full and partial sea views, outdoor terraces and balconies, and private panoramic plunge pools.

Nobu Hotels in Toronto, Atlantic City, and New Orleans
There are several Nobu hotels opening in 2024, and we couldn’t choose just one. As the restaurant and hospitality brand continues its emergence into the hotel scene, 2024 is just the beginning of these hotels opening in major cities across the globe. Nobu Hotels in Toronto, Atlantic City, and New Orleans are planned for the new year, and of course, each will feature a Nobu restaurant that travelers have come to love. The Atlantic City location, inside Caesars Atlantic City, is now taking reservations for January 2024, while the Toronto and New Orleans hotels will open later in the year.

Riu Palace Aquarelle
Falmouth, Jamaica will welcome a new all-inclusive resort in 2024, adding to its already robust portfolio in Jamaica. The Riu Palace Aquarelle will have 753 rooms on White Bay Beach and include four outdoor pools, Splash Water World water park, a wellness center, and a variety of restaurants to choose from. Its oceanfront location also guarantees opportunities for beach volleyball and watersports such as snorkeling, diving, paddle surfing, kayaking, and catamaran sailing.

Six Senses Kyoto
Six Senses plans to open a new hotel in the increasingly popular, historic city of Kyoto in Japan. Six Senses Kyoto blends traditional architecture with modern artwork and décor. The property offers 81 guest rooms and suites facing either the hotel’s courtyard, the city, or a garden across the street.

St. Regis Cap Cana
Opening in spring 2024, this new Dominican Republic hotel gives high-end spring breakers another accommodation option. The resort includes a 200-room hotel and 70 luxury vacation homes. Guests can expect a range of amenities, such as 24/7 concierge service, seven pools, St. Regis’s signature spa, a beach club, a kids’ club, and a fitness and wellness center.

Marriott Vacation Clubs Waikiki
A brand-new Marriott Vacation Clubs resort, the brand’s 12th in Hawaii, will open in Waikiki in late 2024. Marriott Vacation Clubs Waikiki will offer about 110 rooms, from studios to one-bedroom villas, for rental bookings. The property will include rooftop spaces, a pool, a gym, and a restaurant, as well as two floors of retail space.

Viceroy Ombria Algarve
Viceroy’s newest hotel is set to open in spring 2024 among the alluring backdrop of Portugal’s picturesque Algarve region. The 76-room luxury resort will be accompanied by 65 residences atop a hill and offer plenty of outdoor activities and amenities, including Ombria Golf Course, hiking and biking trails, a holistic-focused spa, restaurants, and a pool overlooking the gardens.

Waldorf Astoria San Miguel de Allende
Hilton’s newest Waldorf Astoria-branded hotel, its third in Mexico, is expected to open in San Miguel de Allende, a colonial-era city in Mexico’s central highlands, in early 2024. The hotel will feature 120 rooms and 24 residences located within walking distance of the city’s central plaza. It will also include an art gallery, a rooftop pool, a fitness center with yoga and meditation areas, restaurants, a café, and two bars.

Wyndham Grand Barbados, Sam Lord’s Castle Resort & Spa
Though Wyndam Grand’s newest all-inclusive resort in Barbados has already begun welcoming guests to certain amenities, its full and official opening is slated for early 2024. The exciting new 422-room property is located at the former site of Sam Lord’s Castle, which was once renowned for pirates during the 19th century. Last spring, TMR offered readers a first-hand look at Sam Lord’s Castle Barbados.
