WorldHotels Debuts New Airport Hotel in Tokyo
by Briana Bonfiglio /The Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport in Tokyo is WorldHotels’ newest addition to its global collection of hotels, the company announced on Monday.
WorldHotels, part of BWH Hotel Group, now has six hotels in Japan. This newest property is the largest airport hotel in Japan, with 1,557 rooms across 12 floors. It is directly connected to Haneda Airport International Terminal 3, and also connected to WorldHotels’ Hotel Villa Fontaine Premier Haneda Airport, which opened in December 2022.
“As WorldHotels expands throughout Asia, we continue to identify leading, luxury properties to add to the brand’s portfolio,” said Ron Pohl, president of WorldHotels. “Villa Fontaine Grand Hotel Airport perfectly fits that mold, providing high-end accommodations right outside of Japan’s busiest international airport.”
The new Tokyo airport hotel is complete with a cocktail lounge, a fitness center, conference rooms, a spa and sauna, gift shop, and on-site restaurants. It is part of the Haneda Airport Garden, a mixed-use complex that includes more restaurants, shops, a bus terminal, and a natural hot spring with views of Mt. Fuji.
In addition to the bus terminal, the hotel provides access to the monorail, which brings travelers into the heart of Tokyo within 15 minutes. Haneda Airport is highly rated and often recognized as one of Asia’s best airports.
Olivier Berrivin, WorldHotels’ vice president of international operations in Asia-Pacific, called the airport hotel opening “a great opportunity for WorldHotels to increase our footprint in Tokyo, the world’s most populous metropolis, mixes of ultramodern and the traditional, the city is a truly unique destination both domestically and internationally.”
The hotel company partnered with Sumitomo Realty & Development Co., Ltd., a well-regarded real estate developer in Japan.
