Trevello World Holdings Inc. Acquires Gifted Travel Network
by Dori Saltzman /In what Trevello World Holdings Inc.’s founder and CEO Morris Chia called a match made in heaven, Trevello has acquired Gifted Travel Network, a luxury-focused host agency in the United States. The acquisition marks the first step in Trevello’s strategic plan to expand beyond Canada and gives Trevello an immediate foothold in the U.S.
“This is a pivotal moment for Trevello as we bring our proven expertise and commitment to advisor success into the world’s largest travel market,” said Chia. “GTN’s stellar reputation in the luxury sector and dedication to fostering a collaborative, entrepreneurial community make them the perfect partner to help accelerate our growth strategy.”
Gifted Travel Network will continue to operate under its own brand as a division of Trevello World Holdings and will maintain its focus on luxury travel.
“We respect it and we want to protect that,” Chia told TMR.
“GTN’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence align seamlessly with Trevello’s vision for empowering advisors and delivering exceptional travel experiences,” said Jen Cochrane, co-founder and CEO of GTN. “This collaboration strengthens the foundations we’ve each built, and together, we’ll continue driving forward as a transformative force in the future of the travel industry.”
Chia will oversee Trevello’s expansion into the U.S. market, supported by Trevello World Holding’s co-founder and COO Zeina Gedeon, who currently leads operations for Trevello Canada. GTN’s Cochrane will remain as CEO, ensuring continuity and a seamless integration. Additionally, through this acquisition, former owners Cochrane and Meredith Calloway become shareholders in Trevello World Holdings.
Chia further told TMR that the acquisition is just a first step for Trevello World Holdings.
“This is the beginning… Down the path we’re going to want to grow beyond with Trevello in the U.S.”
