Operating daily through April 19, 2026, the seasonal route marks Porter’s first transborder service from Western Canada.
“We hope this is quickly resolved to avoid a significant impact to air traffic and the flying public,” Bombardier said in a statement.
Designed to complement existing airport and airline processes, the service shifts part of the baggage journey outside the terminal.
In addition to new routes, Porter is increasing capacity for several popular existing seasonal domestic markets.
With flight activity backdated to January 1, 2021, eligible Flying Club members will have rewards automatically credited to their accounts.
Over 6,000 Unifor Local 2002 members work at airports and call centres, providing services such as customer relations and customer journey management.
The schedule includes the addition of Quito, year-round service to Manchester and Copenhagen, more sun from Calgary, and increased winter services to Latin America.
