Air Transat Wins World’s Best Leisure Airline at Skytrax for Eighth Time

Air Transat got some good news at a challenging time as it was named World’s Best Leisure Airline for the eighth time at the Skytrax 2026 World Airline Awards.

An Air Transat delegation, including President and Chief Executive Officer Annick Guérard, accepted the award at the Skytrax ceremony held in London, England.

“Being name the World’s Best Leisure Airline for the eighth time is a tremendous source of pride for Air Transat and, above all, a well-deserved recognition of our teams, said Annick Guérard, President and Chief Executive Officer.

“Every day, they put their expertise, care, and hospitality at the service of our travellers. This distinction reflects their exceptional commitment and their ability to create travel experiences that set us apart, both here and around the world.”

The World Airline Awards are based on the feedback of millions of travellers worldwide.

“We congratulate Air Transat on this fabulous achievement at the 2026 World Airline Awards, said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.

“Winning the award as the World’s Best Leisure Airline is a great recognition from its customers and underlines the high levels of customer satisfaction and Air Transat’s ability to deliver a reliable and enjoyable experience tailored to leisure travellers.”

The World’s Best Leisure Airline Award is based on customer evaluations of the quality of products and services offered by leisure airlines, both onboard and on the ground. Air Transat previously won this award in 2012, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025, and was recognized as North America’s Best Leisure Airline in 2022.
