American Airlines has selected Paola Torri as Director of Operations for Mexico and Canada, a new leadership role created to support the continued growth and strength of the airline’s operation across two of its most important international markets.
Paola brings more than 25 years of experience at American Airlines. Most recently, she served as People Business Partner for International, based in Mexico City, supporting teams across Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean and the United States. She will continue to be based in Mexico City, reporting to José A. Freig, Vice President of International and Inflight Dining Operations.
“I’m honoured to step into this new role and to continue building on the strong foundation our teams have created across Mexico and Canada,” said Paola Torri.
“Throughout my career at American, I’ve seen firsthand the dedication and talent of our people, and I’m excited to work alongside them to continue strengthening our operation, enhancing reliability, and delivering the exceptional service our customers expect.”
In Canada, the airline will operate more than 390 weekly flights this summer, while continuing to expand with new service between Calgary (YYC) and New York (JFK), complementing its existing LaGuardia (LGA) operation.
American is the largest U.S. airline in Mexico, operating more than 600 weekly flights during the summer and up to 760 weekly flights in peak winter, including recent growth such as service to Puerto Escondido (PXM).
