Canada’s First Travel Cash Vending Machine Launches at Toronto Pearson Airport

by Marsha Mowers  July 31, 2025
Canada’s First Travel Cash Vending Machine Launches at Toronto Pearson Airport

Getting international currency at the airport just got a bit easier with the launch of Canada’s first-ever Travel Cash vending machine—offering 24 international currencies—now operating in Toronto Pearson’s Terminal 1, post-security at Gate E77.

Available 24/7, the self-serve kiosk offers pre-loaded currency bundles in the most commonly used denominations such as $5, $10s and $20s from $100 to $900 equivalents in Canadian dollars.

Rates are in real-time and the machine interface is in English and French. The machine accepts Visa, Mastercard, debit, Apple Pay and Google Pay and offers 24/7 customer support and remote monitoring for added safety.

The machines are powered by ICE (International Currency Exchange) Exchange Corporation Canada, a worldwide foreign exchange company serving more than 7 million customers a year and managing a transaction every 6 seconds. ICE has been big player in Canada’s foreign exchange industry, with brick and mortar locations in most major airports and city centres across the country.

“We’ve spent months listening to travellers’ feedback, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive,” says Lisa Powell, Senior ICE Representative. “Clients call the machine fast, intuitive, and incredibly convenient. It has even become a point of interest near Gate E77.”

“This machine reflects ICE’s ongoing commitment to innovation and traveller convenience,” adds Shamir Desai, President of ICE Currency.

“It’s not just a machine, it’s a new chapter in the evolution of airport services.”
