Pond-Hopping: Porter Airlines & British Airways Announce New Codeshare Agreement

Porter Airlines and British Airways have signed a codeshare agreement.

Porter Airlines and British Airways have announced a new codeshare agreement, providing British Airways customers with seamless access to travel on selected Porter Airlines domestic routes.

British Airways customers will be able to book flights to 17 destinations in Canada including Ottawa, Edmonton and Winnipeg, connecting from the British Airways network when travelling to or from London via Toronto or Montreal.

The codeshare partnership opens up a range of new routes in Canada for British Airways customers. In addition, members of the British Airways Club will be able to earn Avios and tier points when travelling on Porter Airlines flights, meaning even more opportunities for members to unlock benefits for flying.

Porter Airlines and British Airways have teamed up.

“It is our pleasure to welcome British Airways customers to the Porter experience. This codeshare agreement reflects our shared commitment to making travel seamless and enjoyable,” said Edmond Eldebs, SVP and Chief Commercial Officer, Porter Airlines.

“More travellers have the opportunity to discover more of Canada the Porter way, with elevated service and comfort that we’re known for. We look forward to a strong and growing partnership.”

Neil Chernoff, Chief Planning and Strategy Officer at British Airways said: “We are delighted to launch this codeshare with Porter Airlines, meaning British Airways customers can now book flights on Porter Airlines’ network with convenience and ease. This agreement makes travel between London and Canada even easier, offering more options and flexibility.”

Fast-growing Porter Airlines flies to over 40 destinations in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The airline is known for its ‘Elevated Economy’ product, which includes complimentary drinks in real glassware and premium snacks, two- by-two seating and free, fast-streaming Wi-Fi.

Codeshare flights with Porter Airlines are available to book now at ba.com, for travel from July 8.
