Explora Journeys has unveiled a collection of expertly curated Pre- and Post-Journey Destination Immersions for guests sailing aboard EXPLORA III spotlighting Alaska and Western Canada.
Each land extension offers three- to five-night itineraries that combine deluxe rail experiences, local cultural encounters, authentic nature excursions, and refined culinary moments.
“These Destination Immersions reflect our commitment to offering immersive luxury travel that extends beyond the ship,” said Anna Nash, President of Explora Journeys. “They allow our guests to explore in greater depth, with intention and authenticity, and to connect more profoundly with the places they visit. Whether it’s journeying through the vast wilderness of Alaska or uncovering the cultural richness of the Canadian Rockies, these experiences are designed to complement and elevate the overall Explora Journeys experience—seamlessly blending land and sea into one continuous, meaningful narrative.”
With Alaska now a featured region in Explora Journeys’ destination portfolio, guests embarking or disembarking in Seward can choose from a selection of pre- or post-journey experiences. These overland adventures bridge the ship’s serene luxury with Alaska’s untamed landscapes and indigenous heritage.

Guests sailing to or from Vancouver can complement their voyage with iconic Rocky Mountaineer rail journeys, a GoldLeaf-class experience through the Canadian Rockies.
Pre-Journey (5-Nights – Calgary to Vancouver):
Beginning in Calgary, this westbound itinerary includes overnight stays in Banff and Kamloops, with highlights such as Banff National Park, Sulphur Mountain gondola rides, and fine regional cuisine. The journey ends with a guided exploration of Vancouver.
Post-Journey (5 Nights – Vancouver to Calgary):
This eastbound version retraces the majestic route inland, offering guests the chance to unwind amid lakes, waterfalls, and alpine towns before concluding in Calgary.
Each Destination Immersion is fully integrated into the Explora Journeys experience, allowing travel advisors to seamlessly package pre- and post-cruise extensions for their clients.
