Explora Journeys has confirmed its EXPLORA II will operate exclusively in the Mediterranean for the November 2026 to March 2027 season due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
“This decision has been taken well in advance, following careful consideration and reflecting Explora Journeys’ commitment to providing guests and travel advisors with clarity and confidence as they plan their future Journeys,” the company said in a statement.
EXPLORA II is instead designed itineraries across the Western Mediterranean and North Africa that include new destinations featuring iconic locations, hidden gems, and seasonal highlights such as Funchal, Casablanca, Ibiza’s Old Town.
All guests with reservations on updated Journeys, along with travel advisor partners, will be contacted directly, with dedicated support provided and appropriate options offered where applicable.
Further details of these new Itineraries will be announced at the end of the month.
The brand launched its first ship, EXPLORA I, in July 2023, followed by EXPLORA II in September 2024. The LNG‑powered EXPLORA III will join the fleet in July 2026, with EXPLORA IV arriving in 2027. EXPLORA V and EXPLORA VI will follow in 2027 and 2028
