A new cruise terminal is being built on St. Kitts.
St. Kitts has officially broken ground on a new cruise terminal at Port Zante, marking a major milestone in its tourism development.
Cruise tourism has long been a contributor to the St. Kitts economy. The destination expects to welcome more than 950,000 cruise passengers this season.
Government officials, tourism stakeholders and industry partners attended the event. The new terminal aims to position St. Kitts and Nevis as a leading cruise turnaround port and, ultimately, a homeport destination. It will feature state-of-the-art security screening and immigration systems to facilitate the processing of guests embarking and disembarking in St. Kitts.

“This investment in the cruise terminal will drive economic impact felt across every corner of our tourism industry; regardless of your job,” said the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew, St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister.
“It also advances our vision for a ‘Sustainable Island State:’ a nation resilient enough, and diversified enough, to not just survive whatever comes our way, but to thrive.
Once operational, the new terminal is expected to enhance the visitor experience, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen St. Kitts and Nevis’ position as a leading cruise turnaround destination in the Caribbean.
In November 2027, St. Kitts will commence turnaround operations for two P&O Cruises vessels.
