Nexion Travel Group to Host 2026 Cruise Sales Summit in Vancouver

Nexion is heading to Vancouver for its second annual cruise summit next May.

Nexion Travel Group will host its second annual Cruise Sales Summit next May in Vancouver, with the goal of ensuring its travel advisors have the support they need to take advantage of the boom in cruise bookings.

Fifty travel advisors will participate in this “dynamic, hands-on conference,” open to Nexion members in the United States and Canada. The summit will take place May 20-23 at the Hilton Vancouver Airport. Advisors will be joined by representatives from ocean and river cruise lines as well as other complementary partners such as insurance providers and land tour providers for pre- and post-cruise excursions.

The itinerary has been designed to assist advisors in expanding their expertise on all cruise segments and make sure they’re aware of all the latest trends, whether they’re new to selling cruises or have experience with this market.

It will include in-depth education sessions on the business of selling ocean and river cruises, strategies to enhance sales and the client experience, multiple networking opportunities, one-on-one meetings with supplier partners, tours of ships and visits to hotels.

A pre-event FAM cruise onboard the Coral Princess will depart Los Angeles on May 16, arriving in Vancouver on May 20.

Nexion travel advisors report that cruises represent a major portion of their business. In a recent survey of 218 members across the United States and Canada, 71% of respondents said cruises are the most common type of trip clients ask them to book, making it the clear leader over other categories.

“We know the importance of cruise bookings to our members, and the Cruise Sales Summit is part of our commitment to provide our travel advisors in the United States and Canada with the tools they need to be successful,” said Nexion Travel Group President Jackie Friedman, VTA, CTIE, President.

“Cruise offerings are changing all the time, with new ships, itineraries and excursions. Our members will return home with important cruise industry connections, firsthand experiences and new ideas for providing their clients with exciting choices for ocean and river voyages.”
