Norwegian Cruise Line has appointed Katie Kania as senior director of agency sales for North America. She replaces Derek Lloyd who was recently promoted to vice president of strategic and national accounts.

In her new role, Kania will lead the cruise line’s field-based sales organization, working closely with travel advisors and agency partners across North America.

“Since joining NCL in 2019, Katie has been an incredible asset to the sales team,” said John Chernesky, senior vice president of North America sales. “With her deep knowledge of the product and her impressive strategic planning, I have full confidence that Katie will step into this role successfully and continue to expand the positive impact ofour sales’ team across North America.”

Kania has more than 10 years of travel industry experience, most recently having served as director of sales for Canada and NCL.

In addition to leading her new team of sales directors and business development managers throughout North America and working closely with travel partners, Kania will also be developing and implementing a strategic marketing plan to align with NCL’s growth strategy. Kania will report to Chernesky.
