ACTA and JNTO Announce 2026 International Destination Conference in Yokohama

ACTA is bringing its International Destination Conference to Japan in 2026.

The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA), in partnership with the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), will host its 2026 International Destination Conference in Yokohama, Japan from November 29-December 4.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Japan National Tourism Organization to bring ACTA’s 2026 International Destination Conference to Yokohama,” said Suzanne Acton-Gervais, President, ACTA. 

“Canadians are travelling further and staying longer, with strong renewed interest in Asia. Hosting in Japan provides our members with a valuable opportunity to deepen their destination knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and return better equipped to serve their clients.”

The collaboration highlights a shared commitment to education, destination development and long-term growth within the Canadian travel trade.

The conference is scheduled to take place from November 29 to December 4 with the program following a preliminary itinerary, and final details to be confirmed.

Air Transportation

Airfare is not included. However, ACTA is working with airline partners to secure discounted rates. Flight saving details will be shared upon acceptance. 

ACTA Members are welcome to travel to arrive prior to the conference dates but will be required to meet the group at the designated location on the official start day.

Acceptance and Registration Details

Those selected to join ACTA in Yokohama, Japan will be notified by Thursday, March 12, 2026. Selected participants will be required to agree to ACTA’s Code of Ethics and submit a non- refundable conference fee. Full payment will be processed on June 1, 2026.The registration fee is: $799 CAD for CTC and CTM Members, $899 CAD for ACTA Members.

Pricing is based on single occupancy and includes transfers, accommodations, food and beverage, based on the custom itinerary.

How To Apply

Travel advisors must apply online before midnight PST, Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026. Only ACTA Member Travel Advisors will be considered, with priority given to those holding a CTC or CTM designation.

The ACTA International Destination Conference is open exclusively to Travel Advisors; companions are not permitted.
