From Belize to the Great Wall: G Adventures Unveils 2027 FAM Trip Lineup

A G Adventures fam group.

G Adventures has officially announced its 2027 familiarization trip schedule, offering Canadian travel advisors the opportunity to experience firsthand the company’s impactful travel styles and community tourism-based itineraries.

Building on its long-standing “agent-first” philosophy, the 2027 FAM lineup features a diverse mix of active adventure, cultural immersion, and national park exploration, spanning product lines including National Geographic Journeys and G Adventures’ popular Solo-ish travel style.

Designed to go far beyond traditional site inspections, G Adventures’ FAM program immerses advisors in the core philosophy of community tourism. On every trip, agents experience the community impact of a destination by meeting local project leaders, experiencing authentic culture, and seeing firsthand how travel dollars directly support local host communities through G Adventures’ non-profit partner, Planeterra.

“Our travel advisor partners are the heartbeat of our business, and there’s no substitute for experiencing community tourism in person,” said David Green, VP of Sales and Managing Director, Canada, for G Adventures.

“When an agent steps into a local community enterprise, travels alongside a CEO (Chief Experience Officer), or walks through a Planeterra project, their perspective transforms,” Green adds.

“They return home not just as sellers of travel, but as passionate advocates for community-led tourism. This upcoming 2027 schedule is specifically designed to equip our partners with the deep product knowledge and firsthand confidence they need to grow their business and stand out in the marketplace.”

The 2027 schedule offers advisors a first look at product innovations and iconic regional experiences:

Solo-ish Guatemala

Experience G Adventures’ Solo-ish travel style, designed specifically for solo travellers looking for connection and flexibility, while exploring the colorful streets of Antigua, Lake Atitlán, and ancient Mayan ruins.

Journeys: Wonders of China

Take a deep dive into China’s rich cultural heritage and majestic landscapes, featuring curated National Geographic expert interactions and immersive local heritage experiences.

Highlights of Turkey

From the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia to the bustling bazaars of Istanbul, experience the vibrant tapestry of Turkish culture, cuisine, and historical icons on this Classic tour.

Classic Bali & Komodo Island

Journey across Indonesia’s most iconic islands, from the spiritual heart of Bali to the dramatic landscapes of Komodo National Park, coming face-to-face with legendary Komodo dragons and experiencing authentic island hospitality.

Hiking in Madeira

Experiencing a G Adventure is key to more effective selling.

Tap into the booming active travel sector by trekking along Madeira’s famous levadas, dramatic coastal cliffs, and lush laurel forests on a specialized active itinerary.

Beyond destination training, each FAM day directly contributes to environmental impact. Through G Adventures’ Trees for Days initiative, one tree is planted for every day an agent spends on a FAM trip, ensuring their learning journey leaves a positive environmental footprint.

Additionally, every FAM group is accompanied by an expert local CEO and a member of the Canadian G Adventures sales team to provide dedicated training and support throughout the journey.

“We view our relationship with travel advisors as a true partnership. When they succeed, we succeed,” said Erin Rogers, National Sales Manager for Canada.

“Alongside our FAM program, we continue to support our Canadian advisor community year-round through our monthly In the Loop webinars, competitive agent discounts, and our industry-leading G Dollars incentive program. We’re 100% committed to giving agents the exact tools, experiences, and confidence they need to succeed.

Travel advisors interested in applying for a 2027 G Adventures FAM trip, or who wish to learn more about upcoming agent incentives and educational opportunities, are encouraged to contact their local Global Purpose Specialist (GPS) or join the official G Adventures Canadian Agents of Change Facebook group.
