Hawaii Tops For Romance In U.S. News Rankings

by Richard D'Ambrosio  August 24, 2017

Hawaii snared 3 out of the top 10 spots in U.S. News & World Report’s 2017 Best Romantic Getaways rankings.

While Napa Valley, CA, took the top spot on the list of Best U.S. Romantic Getaways, Kauai and Maui were ranked second and third respectively, while Lana’i came in eighth. The list also includes Charleston in fourth place and Savannah in fifth.

For the budget-savvy traveler, Savannah also was ranked number one for Best Cheap Romantic Getaways, followed by Portland, ME, and Sedona, AZ.

In addition to the destinations across the United States, U.S. News ranked the Best Honeymoon Destinations and Best Destination Wedding Spots in Europe and the Caribbean.  For Best honeymoons, readers seem to prefer the South Pacific, ranking in order: Tuscany, Italy; Tahiti, French Polynesia; Bora Bora, French Polynesia; St. Lucia and Fiji.
