St. Kitts Posts Strong Arrival Numbers, Hotel Occupancy in 2025
by Marsha Mowers
St. Kitts closed out 2025 with solid gains in visitation and hotel performance with just under 170,000 visitors, a 6% increase year over year.
“2025 was a defining year for St. Kitts — one that demonstrated the power of strategic planning, collaboration and resilience,” said Honourable Marsha T. Henderson, Minister of Tourism. “The growth we experienced is not just about numbers, but about creating opportunity for our people, strengthening our tourism ecosystem and positioning St. Kitts for long-term, sustainable success.”
Performance was strongest in the first four months of the year, with January through April exceeding expectations and signalling sustained demand across core source markets. Air capacity overall exceeded expectations and increased compared to 2024; in Canada, travellers can fly direct from Toronto via Air Canada.

Hotels across St. Kitts recorded positive year-over-year occupancy growth in 2025, reflecting rising visitation and improved demand across multiple travel periods. Reporting properties noted an overall upward occupancy trend, supporting the island’s continued evolution as a year-round destination and reinforcing confidence across the accommodation sector.
“Hotel performance in 2025 reflects growing demand for St. Kitts across key travel periods,” said Kelly Fontenelle, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority. “Occupancy gains demonstrate the impact of our marketing efforts and improved air access, positioning St. Kitts for continued growth in 2026.”
Marketing initiatives throughout 2025 supported demand generation and brand visibility, with three major campaigns—Adventure, Summer Unscripted and Do Not Disturb—designed to drive visitation across leisure segments including adventure travel, seasonal events and romance.
Building on 2025 results, St. Kitts has set clear growth objectives for the year ahead, including:
- A 10% increase in total arrivals
- Expanded marketing beyond geographic targeting to reach niche and high-value audiences
- Continued regional collaboration to support shared Caribbean tourism growth
St. Kitts was recognized with multiple industry awards in 2025 and early 2026, including honours from PATWA, Caribbean Tourism Organization, and Caribbean Journal.
