TripAdvisor Lists Top Value U.S. Hotels for the Fall

by Richard D'Ambrosio  October 25, 2017

Looking for “value” lodging for your clients at hotels that might not regularly show up in your preferred list? TripAdvisor offers the following ten hotels for autumn travel, based on rate data and user feedback.

The top property is Hotel Hive in Washington, D.C. ($231 per night this fall, representing a 45 percent savings, compared to the average city price over this period), recommended for its “cool design elements” and “modern innovation with historic character.” Pets stay free at the property, which is walking distance to the Lincoln Monument and Vietnam Memorial.

Austin’s boutique hotel Lone Star Court ($230 per night for a 33 percent citywide savings) pairs “retro vibes with modern design twists,” including rocking chairs for each room, outdoor fire pits and live music in The Water Trough bar.

Best Value Hotels have at least a 3.5 star rating, at least a 4 bubble rating on TripAdvisor, an average fall price 20 percent below the seasonal city average, and cost less than $300 per night. Average nightly hotel rates were based on TripAdvisor hotel price comparison data from over 200 sites for check-ins from Sept. 1 – Nov. 30, 2017.

Other top value hotels listed by order of top rankings are the Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort in Tucson, Ariz., the Coconut Waikiki Hotel in Honolulu, the Quarter House Resort in New Orleans, and the Inn of the Governors, in Santa Fe, N.M. Filling out the top ten are The Point Hotel & Suites, Orlando, Miami’s Hotel of South Beach,  the Bahia Resort Hotel in San Diego and the Mayflower Park Hotel in Seattle.
