Türkiye Sees Tourism Growth in 2025 with 64M Travellers

Türkiye’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, announces the country’s 2025 tourism results at a press conference in Istanbul.
64 million travellers visited Türkiye in 2025, delivering $65.2 Billion USD in tourism revenue as its leaders set a goal of $68 Billion for 2026.
Türkiye’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy made the announcement, highlighting that Turkish tourism has now become a force not only on a regional but also a global scale.
In 2017, Türkiye ranked eighth among countries hosting the most tourists in the world, but by 2024 it had risen to fourth place. Ersoy also noted that, in terms of tourism revenue, Türkiye ranked 15th in 2017 but had climbed to seventh by 2024.

“Türkiye has now gained a strong reflex and serious experience in managing crises, Minister Ersoy stated. “Türkiye’s tourism sector has moved beyond just sea, sand, and sun tourism; there is a growing diversity in many areas such as: culture and faith, nature and eco-tourism, archaeology, health and thermal, gastronomy, congress and fair, cruise, and winter tourism.”
Breaking it down, the average spend per night in 2025 was $100 USD, up 3.6 per cent over 2024 and 36 percent over 2017. the country’s biggest visitation comes from Russia with 6.90M visitors, followed by Germany with 6.75M and the UK at 4.27M.
