Marriott Lands Eight-Hotel Deal in the Netherlands Across Five Cities

Marriott International has signed an agreement with Townhouse Hotels to manage eight properties in the Netherlands across five cities. 

Six Townhouse Hotels will join the Series by Marriott brand, while two others will join Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio. The hotels are in the Dutch cities of Amsterdam, Breda, and The Hague, where Marriott already has properties, as well as Maastricht and Eindhoven, where Marriott is now making its debut. 

“This agreement represents a significant milestone for Marriott International in the Netherlands, bringing eight distinctive hotels into our portfolio and introducing Series by Marriott to the Dutch market,” said Jerome Briet, chief development officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International.

“These projects offer a mix of independent hospitality experiences across sought-after destinations, while also enabling our entry into Maastricht and Eindhoven. Together with Townhouse Hotels, we look forward to providing guests with even more compelling travel experiences across the Netherlands.”   

Rick de Jonge, CEO Townhouse Hotels, added that he is “very proud” that the properties will now be part of Marriott.

“This is a defining moment for our company and a clear recognition of what our teams have built,” he said. “Joining Marriott’s global platform opens the door to new guests, new markets and new opportunities, and marks the start of an ambitious next chapter.”

The hotels include: 

Townhouse Amsterdam WTC, Series by Marriott – Rebranding from Hotel Qbic WTC Amsterdam, this 84-room hotel is located within Amsterdam’s thriving Zuidas business district, offering convenient access to the city’s key commercial hub. 

Townhouse The Hague, Series by Marriott – This 88-room hotel will provide easy access to government institutions, international organizations, and cultural landmarks.  

Townhouse Maastricht, Series by Marriott – Located near Maastricht’s historic center, the 82-room hotel marks Marriott’s entry into one of the Netherlands’ most charming cultural and culinary destinations.  

Townhouse Mabi Maastricht, Series by Marriott – This 55-room boutique hotel is housed in a former cinema, blending local heritage with contemporary hospitality.  

Townhouse Kaboom Maastricht, Series by Marriott – This 79-room hotel is known for its bold design and lifestyle-driven concept, catering to modern travelers seeking a vibrant stay experience.  

Townhouse Breda, Series by Marriott – Rebranding from Hotel Keyser, this 106-room hotel will become the largest Series by Marriott hotel in the portfolio. It is strategically located in one of the Netherlands’ fastest-growing regional cities.  

The Ald Hotel The Hague, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel – This 91-room boutique hotel stands out for its contemporary design, local character, and intimate guest experience in the heart of the city.  

Hotel Mariënhage Eindhoven, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel – This 134-room hotel is housed within a landmark former monastery complex, combining historic architecture with modern hospitality. It marks Marriott’s entry into Eindhoven, one of Europe’s leading technology and innovation hubs.
