Frank DeMarinis’ shoptravel Names Kiru Thirukailayanathan Chief Technology Officer

shoptravel has announced the appointment of Kiru Thirukailayanathan as Chief Technology Officer. He joins the executive team to lead the technology behind a platform designed to inspire Canadians to travel, not just help them book.

Thirukailayanathan brings more than 15 years of experience developing technology solutions for the travel industry. In his role as Chief Technology Officer, he will guide the development of shoptravel’s platform as the company builds toward a full-service experience that supports travellers and travel advisors alike.

Thirukailayanathan joins shoptravel from TravelBrands, where he previously served as director of engineering, leading work in artificial intelligence and digital transformation. TravelBrands is part of the Canadian travel heritage that shaped shoptravel’s founder DeMarinis.
