The Globus family of brands has responded to the influx of new travel advisors with a guide designed specifically to help newcomers to the industry achieve their dreams.

“Start Strong: Ultimate Guide for New Travel Advisors” is a comprehensive resource with information that addresses the largest challenges newcomers face, helping them build the confidence, skills, and knowledge base necessary to succeed as travel sellers.

The industry has been in flux since the pandemic. As experienced travel sellers retired or moved on during the COVID-19 shutdown, not enough newcomers came to fill the vacancies—and demand for travel advisors has only increased in the years since. With many travel agencies struggling to find talent, the influx of new travel advisors entering the industry is welcome, but presents challenges.

“This moment matters,” said Cory McGillivray, vice president of sales operations and channel marketing for the Globus family of brands. “We’re welcoming a growing class of travel advisors who are new to the industry and their success will shape the future of travel retail. What we’re seeing is a real need for education that goes beyond products to offer practical guidance that helps advisors sell with confidence, build trust quickly and grow businesses that last.”

The Globus family of brands has created a training resource that will support the new travel advisors, which in turn will strengthen the long-term health of the industry as a whole. The guide offers insight on practical matters, such as finding a niche, the tools and technology platforms that support travel sales, and strategies for turning leads into bookings.

The “Ultimate Guide” is part of Globus’ long-term investment in trade support, which includes a travel advisor portal with training, tools and resources, dedicated BDMs, lead-generation support, and marketing assets.
