Riviera Travel has expanded its new Grand Tour portfolio with a new 15-day tour that combines an Italy land tour and a Danube River cruise.

Earlier this year, Riviera Travel expanded its land and river tours for U.S. guests, launching three new tours for 2026: Grand Tour of the Heart of Italy to Portugal’s Douro Valley; Grand Tour of Italian Lakes, Swiss Mountains, and Majestic River Rhine Cruise; and Grand Tour of Provence, Paris & River Seine Cruise.

Launching in 2027, the new journey is called Grand Tour: A Taste of Italy & The Blue Danube Cruise. Combining a week-long land tour with a week-long Danube River cruise, the newest itinerary includes four-star curated accommodations, a sailing on either Geoffrey Chaucer or Riviera Radiance, guided excursions, and an all-inclusive drinks package during the cruise.

The new Grand Tour begins in southern Italy, exploring Lecce’s baroque architecture, the trulli houses of Alberobello, the ancient cave dwellings of Matera, and the historic streets of Bari and Otranto. Highlights include a traditional lunch at a family-run masseria and visits to coastal towns rich in culture and history. Once on the Danube, travelers visit highlights such as Bratislava’s old town, Dürnstein, Melk Abbey, Vienna, and Budapest’s Castle Hill, with evenings featuring performances like a classical quartet in Vienna and a Hungarian folklore show in Budapest.

“Travelers today want to experience the best of Europe without the hassle of planning multiple trips, and our Grand Tours create a smooth, seamless way to do just that,” said Stuart Milan, president of North America for Riviera Travel. “Our newest Grand Tour itinerary will inspire our guests with southern Italy’s charm and the cultural treasures of the Blue Danube, helping them create two weeks of absolutely unforgettable memories.”
