Roam by Tauck, a new brand designed specifically for travelers in their 40s and 50s, is now available to book, with five small group itineraries launching in 2026—two of which include river cruises.

The tour operator, which is celebrating its 100th year, announced Roam by Tauck last August. The company’s first new brand in over a decade, Roam by Tauck promises to deliver small group experiences (average 16 guests per departure) that blend flexibility, active adventure, and exclusive access.

“Since introducing Roam by Tauck in August, we’ve heard tremendous enthusiasm from travel advisors who recognize this fills a meaningful gap in the luxury travel market,” said Jennifer Tombaugh, Tauck CEO. “We designed these journeys for travelers who lead dynamic, fast-paced lives and want a guided experience that still feels personal, less structured, and yet entirely effortless. Roam by Tauck delivers that balance, offering premium experiences and the freedom to explore, with Tauck’s built-in expertise.”

Roam by Tauck’s Debut Itineraries

Mexico City & San Miguel de Allende: This seven-day tour showcases the food, art, and cultural vibrancy of Mexico City and San Miguel de Allende. Guests can customize their journey with options like an e-bike ride through Roma and Condesa, a taco-tasting walk, or time in top contemporary galleries, and will enjoy Signature Moments such as a sunrise balloon flight over the pyramids of Teotihuacan.

Bordeaux & The Dordogne: Over eight days, travelers will sample the city life of Bordeaux, the wine country of Saint-Émilion, and the rustic charm of the Dordogn. From farmers’ markets to prehistoric caves, the itinerary combines culture and history—an invitation to experience the indulgences France has to offer.

San Sebastián & Rioja: A seven-day coast-to-vineyard journey through Spain’s Basque Country that blends active discovery with comfort, including biking through Rioja’s vineyards, a private salt-valley experience, and spa time at the Frank Gehry–designed Hotel Marqués de Riscal. Highlights include a Camino coastal walk, exclusive vineyard access, and a dinner prepared by a Michelin-starred chef.

Prague & The Danube: This 10-day land and river journey combines two nights in Prague with a seven-night Danube sailing on the ms Savor. Visiting five countries, the itinerary includes options like a guided walk in Český Krumlov, a bike tour in Vienna, and an evening in a Wachau Valley wine tavern. The highlight: a private waltz lesson at Vienna’s Palais Pallavicini led by instructors from the renowned Elmayer Dance School.

Porto & The Douro Valley: This eight-day river cruise aboard ms Andorinha was designed to explore Portugal’s golden Douro. With flexible days in Porto, guests can choose between experiences such as food walks, port-focused tours, and optional Atlantic surfing or riverside cycling. Additional highlights include visits to top quintas, a Michelin-starred chef-hosted dinner at DOC, and a private nighttime experience at the prehistoric rock art sites of the Côa Valley.
