Vacation Heroes: Sunwing Doubles Down on Advisors in New Campaign

Sunwing’s new ad campaign features actors and real travel advisors.

Sunwing Vacations says it is reinforcing its commitment to the travel advisor community with the launch of its 2025-2026 winter campaign

Last year, the tour operator launched the ‘Flynancial Advisor’ campaign, inspired by the expertise and value that advisors bring their clients. This year, Sunwing is featuring real travel advisors in the campaign creative to emphasize how advisors are the true vacation heroes.

“Travel advisors are central to our success, and we don’t just say that – we act on it,” said Deana Murphy, VP of Trade Sales and Business Development.

“This campaign further demonstrates our appreciation of the travel advisors that work with us. We’re putting real advisors in our advertising and we’re building campaigns that reflect their expertise and the value they bring to their clients.

This year’s campaign introduces Val, a bilingual Flynancial Advisor from Trois-Rivières, Quebec, whose character reflects the understanding of how advisors work.

Steven Hunter, President & CEO Sunwing Travel Group, with Samantha Taylor and Melanie Filipp, Senior Director of Communications, Sunwing Vacations Group.

Val was “born in value, raised on deals, fluent in feelings and finances,,” Sunwing says. In cinema-style commercials that include both professional actors and real Canadian travel advisors, Val (short for value) is the creative face of working with travel experts to share more deals, more destinations and more resort options.

“Filming the Sunwing Vacations commercial was such a fun and memorable experience, thanks to the supportive team I had the pleasure of working with,” said Yulia Borg from TravelOnly.

“This was my first time being involved in a project like this, and it was especially cool that a few real [travel] agents were featured—it made the campaign feel so genuine.”

Val – short for value – operates from the fictional Value Lab, a futuristic command centre that serves as the creative heart of Sunwing’s brand storytelling. Sunwing said the concept emerged from understanding how advisors actually work: researching, comparing, and crafting the dream vacation for their clients. The facility concept showcases how Sunwing and its partners continuously develop new ways to maximize client value.

“Being part of a Sunwing commercial as a real travel advisor is such a cool and unique experience,” saidRoman Maievych from Top Travel Agency. “I’m proud to be one of the few chosen, and with my years of expertise helping clients plan their trips, I can say Sunwing [Vacations] truly delivers an outstanding product that makes vacations easy and memorable,”
