VIDEO: Sunwing Vacations Group Leads Major Push in Hurricane Melissa Relief

by John Kirk  November 27, 2025

Andrew Dawson, President of the Sunwing Vacations Group, speaks with John Kirk about the relief efforts currently underway in Jamaica. We discuss the current status of various Hotels, reopening of routes plus more. Atlanta-based Vacation Express—part of the Sunwing Vacations Group, raised $30,000 USD, in a very short period of time, which has been donated directly to Global Medics. Proceeds from ticket sales for their annual holiday party will support the same organization. There are a variety of initiatives underway throughout the organization.

Dawson also announced that the company will donate $100 per booking for all Jamaica bookings made between December 1–14. In addition, Nexus, the local Jamaican DMC, will contribute to the relief efforts by donating a portion of proceeds from every excursion booked.
