River cruise specialist Avalon Waterways has unveiled the lineup for its 2026 Storyteller Series sailings, announcing actor and Avalon spokesperson Graham McTavish (Outlander, House of the Dragon) and rock band Sister Hazel as the next celebrity hosts.

The series, which is entering its fifth year, combines an eight-day Avalon river cruise itinerary with storytelling and entertainment from celebrated authors, actors, musicians, and other icons.

“Rogue on the Rhône: A Legendary Voyage with Graham McTavish” sails from Lyon to Arles on June 9 to 16, 2026. The itinerary will give guests the chance to “sip, sail and swagger through the heart of Provence and Burgundy” alongside the TV star and bestselling author.

Sailing July 11 to 18, 2026, “Rockin’ on the Rhine with Sister Hazel” takes guests on a cruise from Amsterdam to Basel. Music lovers will enjoy exclusive performances while also exploring some of Europe’s most “awe-inspiring” sights. This is the Billboard 100-topping band’s third sailing with Avalon.

Since launch, Avalon’s storytelling series has featured world-renowned artists, authors, and actors such including Diana Gabaldon, Candace Bushnell, Gillian Flynn, Jen Hatmaker, Christopher Moore, Cheryl Strayed and more.

“While the world’s waterways will always take center stage with Avalon, when you combine breathtaking scenery with some of the most talented storytellers of our time, you create an experience unlike any other,” said Pam Hoffee, president of Avalon Waterways. “With our Storyteller Series, we’ve redefined river cruising—offering guests front-row access to their favorite icons, unforgettable encounters and immersive adventures that turn the page on traditional travel.”
