Celebrity Cruises Reveals New Culinary Concept, Entertainment for Xcel

When Celebrity Xcel debuts in November it will feature an all-new Rooftop eatery, along with new entertainment and activity options.

“Reconnecting with loved ones over new experiences is important to Celebrity guests. Celebrity Xcelwill be their happy place with new dining options and all-new entertainment and activities creating endless opportunities…,” said Michael Scheiner, chief marketing and product officer of Celebrity Cruises.

Bora Restaurant

Located on Xcel’s Rooftop deck, Bora will offer panoramic ocean views and an al fresco vibe that “transports” cruisers to the Mediterranean coast. The seafood-forward menu will be available for both brunch and dinner.

By day, Bora’s “boozy brunch” will serve Mediterranean-inspired dishes, like shakshuka eggs with coriander, avocado, and sourdough toast, and a croissant eggs benedict with lemon-scented salmon gravlax and ricotta spread, alongside classics like French toast. A customizable Bloody Mary bar will also be available.

 At night, Bora will offer tableside dining preparation of dishes that include seared branzino and garlic aioli, fideos negros tostados with razor clams, and lamb tagine with saffron couscous, among many others.

Celebrity Xcel Entertainment

When it comes to evening entertainment, Celebrity Xcel will feature three new theater shows inspired by theater, film, television, and concert tours. To pull off these shows, the ship will boast Celebrity’s largest theater cast with singers, dancers, parkour artists, and specialty performers.

Two new interactive shows will be staged in The Club and will “transport guests to another era.”

“Designed to create memorable moments of connection from morning to night, Celebrity Xcel will sail with our most expansive entertainment offering to date with over 75 resident performers – the most of any Celebrity ship,” said Lisa Lehr, vice president of entertainment of Celebrity Cruises. “The offering is brand-new at every turn, from unforgettable new Theatre shows, new interactive shows in The Club and a variety of immersive parties and live music options.”

For guests looking to dance the night away, multiple new dance parties will be offered from destination-inspired festivals and 80s glam parties to an elevated country music night and electric Shine the Night party.

Celebrity Xcel is sailing her inaugural season from Fort Lauderdale in November 2025, offering seven-night itineraries alternating between the Bahamas, Mexico, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. The ship will move to Europe for the summer of 2026. It will be the first ship in the fleet to feature the Bazaar (replacing Eden), which is designed to bring the destinations visited onto the ship through entertainment, enrichment, and retail offerings.
