Celebrity Cruises Unveils Expanded Caribbean Deployment

Celebrity Cruises Unveils Expanded Caribbean Deployment

Celebrity Constellations will sail more frequent six- to seven-night sailings out of Port Tampa Bay.

Celebrity Cruises is continuing its Caribbean expansions with the addition of more ships and more than 40 new itineraries from three Florida ports in 2024/25. Changes include adding seven-day sailings out of Port Canaveral and more frequent seven-day cruises on Celebrity Constellation out of Port Tampa Bay.

“We are so excite to unveil this new program,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises. “As part of this expansion, we are thrilled to add Port Canaveral to our list of home ports…”

“Our guests are asking for more Caribbean,” Katina Athanasiou, senior vice president of sales at Celebrity Cruises, told TMR at this week’s Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas.

“Guests who used to sail every 24 months are now sailing every 16 to 18 months, and those who used to travel every 6 to 9 months, are going every 3 to 4 months. For them to travel more frequently means that they want more closer-to-home options.”

Port Canaveral
For the first time ever, Celebrity Cruises will sail out of Orlando’s Port Canaveral, with 20 new itineraries on offer from November 21, 2024 to April 19, 2025 onboard Celebrity Equinox.

Most itineraries will be seven-night sailings visiting destinations including the Bahamas, Belize, Grand Cayman, Mexico, San Juan, and St. Maarten. Two spring break sailings – March 1 and March 15, 2025 – will stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Port Everglades
As part of the new program, Celebrity will expand its offerings from Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades onboard Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Summit.

From October 23, 2024 to March 8, 2025, cruisers will be able to enjoy five new sailings on Apex, ranging from six- to seven-night itineraries visiting destinations like St. Maarten, San Juan, Grand Cayman, and Mexico, as well as select sailings to Perfect Day at CocoCay.

And, from February 25, 2025 to April 10, 2025, Celebrity Summit will offer five new itineraries ranging from five to nine nights sailing to the Western and Eastern Caribbean.

Port Tampa Bay
Celebrity is also revamping its current Caribbean program out of Port Tampa Bay, with more frequent six- to seven-night sailings onboard Celebrity Constellation. The new program expands the brand’s offerings with four new itineraries and a total of 14 sailings for the season from January 2, 2025 to April 6, 2025, visiting ports in Belize, Honduras, Mexico, Key West, and New Orleans for Mardi Gras.

Bookings for all sailings open on August 22, 2023.
