by Daniel McCarthy  February 13, 2017

The Cruise Lines International Association has opened nominations for its 2017 Hall of Fame Cruise Industry Awards, including Elite Cruise Counsellor of the Year, Travel Agency Innovator and Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Elite Cruise Counsellor award is given to an agent of Elite CLIA status who has “demonstrated their commitment to professional development…as well as significantly impacted the travel agent landscape.”

The Travel Agency Innovator Award honors an agent who has “has demonstrated innovation in their approach to promoting cruise travel and growing their cruise travel sales.”

CLIA’s Lifetime Achievement Award is given to any individual who has been an advocate for the industry and has made “remarkable, positive contributions to the cruise industry.”

CLIA will announce the inductees at a gala even on April 22 at Cruise360 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Nominations, which can be submitted on CLIA’s website, close February 24.
