Holland America Line is bringing the Rotterdam to the Mediterranean in fall 2027, offering guests a new slate of late-season European itineraries.
Starting Oct. 17, 2027, the Rotterdam will sail a season of 10- and 11-day itineraries from Lisbon, Portugal, and Naples, Italy, to Kotor, Montenegro; Rhodes, Greece; and Alexandria, Egypt. The sailings include scenic cruising through the Strait of Messina and past Stromboli, one of the world’s most active volcanoes off the northern coast of Sicily, along with itineraries that feature overnight stays in Rome and Istanbul.
The ship will wrap up the season with a 14-day transatlantic crossing from Barcelona, Spain, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Dec. 8.
“We know how much our guests love sailing on Rotterdam, and the Mediterranean is always in high demand,” said Paul Grigsby, vice president of revenue planning for Holland America Line. “There’s something really special about seeing the flagship sailing in iconic ports like Bilbao, Naples, and Rhodes for the first time, and it’s a moment we’re excited to share with our guests”.
