Holland America Line is bringing back one of its most beloved onboard traditions: the “Until We Sail Again” farewell dinner.
The cruise line announced on Wednesday that the tradition will return fleet-wide this year, a decision driven by enthusiastic guest feedback. The dinner, which had previously faded from the schedule as Holland America shifted toward a more casual final night, will feature live classical string music, a celebratory crew parade, and a menu packed with signature favorites like French Onion Soup, Beef Wellington, and Baked Alaska.
“The Farewell Dinner reflects our longstanding view of travel as a shared experience shaped by traditions, people, and time at sea,” Holland America Line said in a statement.
The Farewell Dinner joins a distinct lineup of historic traditions for the cruise line, which also includes its Sailaway Celebration, Royal Dutch Tea, Orange Party, and Stroopwafel Turndown Service.
Holland America also announced this week that Rotterdam would be sailing a series of European itineraries in fall 2027, offering some soft season opportunities for its guests.
