Lindblad Expeditions Drops Testing Requirements

Starting September 1, travelers onboard Lindblad Expeditions voyages will no longer need to be boosted in order to sail, nor will they be required to wear a mask onboard. As of October 1, they will also no longer have to test negative for COVID-19 before their cruise in order to sail.

“As the COVID-19 pandemic has evolved, many local, state, and federal protocols are rapidly changing,” the line said in a statement. “Lindblad’s Global Policy team continues to review these changes and adjust their protocols to match the latest guidance.”

New guidelines are as follows:

  • Starting September 1, guests of 4 years of age and younger will no longer be required to be vaccinated;
  • Booster shots are no longer required except on extended sailings in Antarctica;
  • Effective October 1 for most sailings, guests will no longer need to test prior to leaving home and will no longer need to be tested at embarkation;
  • Testing may still be required for vaccinated passengers going to certain countries, or if traveling on the Sea Cloud or Delfin II, which have their own health and safety protocols
