Redeployments See Norwegian Cruise Line Cancel Over 40 2026-2027 Sailings

NCL’s Breakaway will no longer sail from New Orleans in 2026-2027.
Norwegian Cruise Line is informing travel advisors of the cancellation of more than 40 sailings scheduled for two of its ships during the 2026-27 season.
The cruises were scheduled to take place onboard Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Prima between November 2026 and March 2027. The line says it made the decision to cancel the sailings due to a significant fleet redeployment initiative.
All cruises scheduled for Breakaway between November 8, 2026 and March 28, 2027 will no longer go ahead. Sailings scheduled for Prima from November 15, 2026 to March 28, 2027 have also been cancelled.
Impacted guests will receive a full refund of the paid cruise fare, along with a 10% discount for future bookings in the form of a Future Cruise Credit (FCC).
Norwegian Breakaway was scheduled to operate a series of seven-night cruises to Southern Caribbean ports including Aruba, Curaçao, Barbados, St. Thomas and Tortola during the time frame. It would have marked the first time the ship sailed from San Juan.
Norwegian Prima was also set to call a port home for the first time, operating week-long cruises to destinations in the Western Caribbean – Mexico, Honduras and Belize — from New Orleans.
Replacement deployments for both vessels have not yet been announced.
