Four Kidnapped at Philippines Resort
Two Canadians, one Norwegian, and one Filipino tourist were kidnapped by 11 armed men at a resort on Samal Island in the Philippines on Monday night. The gunmen fled on a boat and a manhunt is underway, according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer. The kidnapping took place just after midnight at the Oceanview Resort on Samal Island. The area has been relatively safe in recent years, with the last incident taking place in 2001, when tourists at another Samal Island resort were kidnapped.
