Hong Kong and Dubai Are Hot for the Holidays, KAYAK says
by Anna GleksmanA combination of mild weather and a 29% decrease in airline costs propelled Hong Kong to the number-one spot on KAYAK’s Top 10 Holiday Escapes. Released last week, the list measured the cities with the biggest drop in fares from the U.S. over last year’s holiday season.

KAYAK also issued a list of the 10 hottest spots for New Year’s Eve, based on customer searches for flights. Dubai topped that list with a 70% increase in flight searches over last year, followed by Cartagena, Colombia; Barcelona, Rejkavijk and Tokyo.
