Big Up: Jamaica Tourist Board Adds Two to Canadian Sales Team

Jamaica will host weekly webinars to keep you informed on recovery from Hurricane Melissa.

Already one of the powerhouses among tourist boards in Canada, the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is further strengthening its sales team.

Oral Chambers is being transferred to Canada from the U.S., while Sedrecia Francis will make the move from Jamaica to the organization’s regional office in Toronto, ON.

Chambers joined JTB in October 2016. He will take on the Eastern Ontario, Northern Ontario, and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) East territories.

Oral Chambers has joined the Jamaica Tourist Board Canada as BDM.

“Oral’s strong work ethic, which is matched by his positive and approachable personality have made him a respected and sought-after member of our team,” said Angella Bennett, regional director at Jamaica Tourist Board Canada. “We are thrilled to have him join our Canadian team and continue to excel in his role.”

“I am excited to lend my experience and expertise to our Canadian team and our operation there,” added Chambers in a statement. “This is an opportunity to ensure Canadians consider Jamaica as the premier destination to visit for their vacations.”

Sedrecia Francis will represent the Jamaica Tourist Board as BDM, Western Canada.

Francis, who has been with the JTB for nine years, was most recently the media relations officer in JTB’s corporate office in Kingston, Jamaica. She will take on the BDM role for Western Canada.

“We are excited to have Sedrecia join our Canadian team,” said Bennett. “She has demonstrated dedication and competence in her previous role, and we are equally confident that she will excel in her new role and this next chapter in her career.”

“I am ecstatic to be given this opportunity to support our team in Canada,” said Francis. “From my work in my most recent role in the Jamaica office, I can tell you first-hand that Jamaica is a craveable destination for many visitors looking for a unique and unparalleled experience with sun, sand, sea, and the tranquility as well as the energetic vibe – there’s something for everyone.”

Oral Chambers can be reached at 416-428-2546 or ochambers@visitjamaica.com while Sedrecia Francis can be reached at 403-404-8701 or sfrancis@visitjamaica.com.
