After announcing that some resorts and water parks would close in preparation for this week’s expected arrival of Hurricane Ian, Disney went a step further on Tuesday, announcing that all of its Orlando theme parks would shut their doors on Wednesday and Thursday.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Magic Kingdom parks will all be closed on Wednesday and Thursday ahead of Hurricane Ian. The parks, which had last shut their doors for COVID-19 in 2020, had also been forced to close in 2019 of Hurricane Dorian’s arrival.

Disney also said that it would waive all change and cancellation fees for check-in dates of Monday, Sept. 26 through Tuesday, Oct. 4 due to the potential impact of Hurricane Ian.

“Most room-only and vacation packages can be modified or canceled online, including changes to travel dates, without fees,” Disney wrote in a message to its guests on Tuesday.

Disney had previously announced a number of changes to this week’s schedule, including the closures of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort from Wednesday, Sept. 28 through Friday, Sept. 30.

The changes also include the closure of Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and the Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf from Wednesday, Sept. 28 through Thursday, Sept. 29.
