Kimpton Tres Rios Opens Resort Surrounded by Riviera Maya Nature

Kimpton, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, has announced the opening of Kimpton Tres Ríos, an all-inclusive resort set within a privately owned, 326-acre nature park featuring freshwater rivers, cenotes and the Caribbean shoreline.

The all-inclusive experience features a range of restaurants and bars, 24-hour Suite Service, four outdoor pools, a two-story fitness centre, event space, resort programming and activities for all ages.

“Kimpton Tres Ríos brings the warmth, individuality and intuitive service that define Kimpton to one of the Riviera Maya’s most extraordinary natural settings,” said Jorge Martinez, General Manager.

“From cenote-fed rivers and jungle trails to lively dining and daily moments of wonder, the resort invites guests to experience the culture and landscape of this remarkable place in a way that feels personal, generous and unmistakably Kimpton.”

The resort takes its name from three freshwater rivers that wind through the grounds. Guests can swim and kayak in one cenote-fed river, while six of the property’s 10 cenotes can be explored on guided tours, including one designated for swimming and snorkeling.

Along the way, the landscape reveals the remarkable biodiversity of the park, home to 120 plant and 90 animal species, including coatimundis, spider monkeys, agoutis, raccoons, anteaters, white-tailed deer, iguanas and numerous birds and fish.

Dining at Kimpton Tres Ríos brings the brand’s restaurant-and-bar spirit to the Riviera Maya table, with venues designed to feel social, expressive and full of character

Bacetto channels Italian cuisine, pairing familiar flavours with reimagined classic cocktails. Kotori blends Japanese tradition with modern technique, while El Carnal offers a refined yet relaxed take on the steakhouse. At open-air De La Calle, Mexico’s street food culture comes through in a lively setting.

The more casual stops carry that same sense of personality. Café Casa turns coffee, pastries and fresh juices into an easy daily ritual, while La Campana brings a bright, come-as-you-are energy to the sports bar experience.

Accommodations at Kimpton Tres Ríos are designed as relaxed indoor-outdoor retreats, with layered natural textures and artful details creating warm, inviting spaces.

Mangrove-view rooms, one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites, and a Presidential Suite give couples, families and larger groups room to settle in. Connecting-room options add flexibility for families and multigenerational groups travelling together.

Four outdoor pools are complemented by whirlpools, cabanas and nonmotorized water sports. The pace shifts as the day unfolds, from sunrise yoga on the beach to guided stargazing and moonlit sound baths after dark.

Kimpton Tres Rios is surrounded by nature.

Families will find programming that gives children their own sense of adventure while leaving plenty of room to experience the resort together. The water park, complete with slides and lifeguard service, adds an easy option for all-day play, while Club Aventuras gives children ages 4 to 12 a supervised space of their own.

Celebrations can move easily between polished indoor spaces and open-air settings shaped by its natural surroundings. The Tres Ríos Ballroom accommodates up to 500 guests and offers full AV capabilities. Beach settings, esplanades, gardens and terraces provide additional options for ceremonies and receptions.

IHG One Rewards members can earn and redeem points at the resort, with Kimpton Inner Circle recognition available for the brand’s most frequent guests.

In 2027, Kimpton Tres Ríos plans to expand its offerings with a dedicated adults-only experience designed for a more relaxed stay within the resort. The new offering will include rooms and suites with swim-up access and private plunge pools, creating a distinct retreat within the property.
