Olympic Flame Tours Brazil
by Adam StumpfThe Olympic Flame is set to visit more than 300 cities across Brazil before the opening ceremony of the 2016 Games on August 5. Twelve thousand people will carry the flame as it travels 10,000 miles around the country.
Highlights of the flame’s tour include the Brazilian states Alagoas, Ceará, Pernaambuco, and Paraíba. Events and torch sightings are scheduled throughout cities within each state.
This tour will highlight the diverse geography of Brazil and hopes to augment excitement for the upcoming games.
