Shanghai Disneyland Opening Day Sells Out In Hours
by Anna Gleksman /Disney Shanghai last weekend began selling tickets for opening day on June 16—and sold out online within hours.
Now scalpers are selling the tickets for eight times the actual price, but officials caution that Shanghai Disney Resort has a strict non-transferrable policy on tickets, requiring that the entire party enter at once and that everyone show government ID.
The park is expected to be at full capacity on opening day, with over 100,000 visitors. Sprawling over 1,000 acres, it is three times the size of the park in Hong Kong, and double that of Tokyo or Anaheim.
